Holders TP Mazembe secured their place in the Confederation Cup semi-finals after thrashing Sudanese side Al Hilal Elobied 5-0 at home in the second leg of the competition's quarters on Sunday, claiming a 7-1 aggregate win. The Congolese side won the first leg 2-1 in Sudan last week. Defender Jean Kasusula put the hosts ahead on 39 minutes and Malian striker Adama Traore doubled the lead early in the second half. Forward Malango Ngita made it 3-0 on 55 minutes, Elia Meschack increased the gap six minutes from time and winger Issama Mpeko completed the rout in stoppage time. In the semis, Mazembe will face Moroccan side Fath who reached the competition's last four after defeating Tunisian side Club Sfaxien 5-4 on penalties after a 1-1 aggregate draw on Saturday.
