Between 7 March and 1 April, Cairo and Alexandria will witness the Jazz Tales Festival.
The festival is organised by the Bibliotheca Alexandrina's Arts Centre with its Cairo segment to be hosted by the American University. The festival is organised in cooperation with the American Consulate in Alexandria.
The concerts by the Egyptian and American jazz musicians will be held in the AUC and the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, in addition to workshops to be hosted at the AUC.

They will feature musicians such as Marcus Band (USA), Braden / Michels Project (USA), Sherif Watson & Triple Trouble Band with Shady El-Qaseer Group (Egypt), Akram El-Sharkawy Group (Egypt) & Huntertones Band (USA), among others.
"The festival aims at raising awareness about jazz and bring this music genre closer to the wide spectrum of Egyptian audiences," Neveen Kenawy, Jazz Tales festival's general coordinator told Ahram Online.
The festival will open on 7 March with workshops conducted by Egypt's Boghdady Big Band and the American Red Trads Band, on 7 and 8 March at the AUC's Gerhart Theater (New Cairo).
