The Egyptian Beatles tribute band Glass Onion will hold two acoustic gigs on the same day at Cairo's Madaar on Saturday 4 February. Glass Onion was founded in 2010 by four independent musicians and singers who bring the Beatles' hits to Cairo and Alexandria audiences across many venues. The band's line-up comprises guitarists Kareem Ghalid and Hany Mustafa, bassist Amir Shawky and drummer Magued Nagati. Ghalid is also behind kArkAdAn while Mustafa (HanyMust) performs solo, and fronts the band Egoz. The Beatles were formed in 1960, with band members John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. The British rock band is widely regarded as the most influential act of the rock era.
