The Egyptian Beatles tribute band Glass Onion will hold a concert on New Year's eve at Gomhouriya Theatre. The band promises Beatles fans a lineup of “the hits, the fan favorites, the psychedelia and the Ob La Di Ob La Da's,” according to the Facebook event description. Ghalid is also behind kArkAdAn, while Mustafa (HanyMust) performs solo, and fronts the band Egoz. Glass Onion was founded in 2010 by four independent musicians and singers. Guitarists Kareem Ghalid and Hany Mustafa, bassist Amir Shawky and drummer Magued Nagati, who are solo musicians, were united in Glass Onion by their Beatles fandom. The British band the Beatles were formed in 1960, with band members John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr.
