Ismaily's board decided on Sunday to withdraw officially from participating in the next edition of CAF Confederation Cup. "The club board discussed the situation and decided to withdraw from the competition, especially that the club will not gain any profit from participating," read a statement on the club's official website. "Participating represents a financial load on the club, due to the long trips throughout Africa. Also, the players will suffer from a rigorous schedule," the statement added. Ismaily were qualified for the CAF Confederation Cup after they placed third in the Egyptian premier league last season. On the other hand, the club board added that they look forward to participating at the Arab Champions League set to be played in the coming few months. Ismaily were the first Egyptian club to win a continental title when they won the African Cup of clubs Champions in 1969. http://english.ahram.org.eg/News/25555.aspx
