Rain is expected to fall in most parts of Egypt during the coming two days, especially over the northern coasts of the country, the state's Meteorological Authority (EMA) stated on Friday. Moderate rains are also expected to fall over the Delta, Cairo and northern parts of Upper Egypt, according to EMA.
Weather will remain warm during the daytime despite the anticipated rainfall, but is forcasted to be very cold at night.
Fog is expected on highways in the early morning, prompting the EMA to warn motorists against reckless driving.
The bad weather has caused two main Alexandrian ports, Alexandria and Dakheila ports, to close for three days last week, as wind speed exceeded 25 knots per hour, causing high waves in the Mediterranean.
In October, severe rain led to floods that left 15 killed and 47 injured nationwide.
