The Belgium Football Federation has imposed a two-match ban on Lierse's Egyptian striker Mohamed Elgabas, after he was sent off during last Saturday's game against St Truiden, which ended 2-0. The 24-year-old striker pushed Ludovic Buysens during an altercation between both players, and the referee showed him a direct red card. In addition to the ban, Elgabas was given a fine of 200 Euros. Elgabas can appeal against the decision until Tuesday. Elgabas has made headlines over the past two weeks, having scored a brace against Zulte 2-1, giving Lierse their first victory of the season.
