Egypt announces date, venue for Ghana match at World Cup qualifiers

Egypt's national team will host Ghana in the second round of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers on 13 November at Alexandria's Borg El-Arab Stadium, the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) announced on Wednesday.
The Pharaohs launched their preparations for the qualifiers by tying with Guinea 1-1 in a friendly in Alexandria last week, before losing 1-0 to South Africa in Soweto on Tuesday.
Also on Tuesday, the Black stars lost 1-0 to Russia amid preparations for the qualifiers.
In late June, World Cup-hungry Egypt were drawn in a tight group for the qualifiers' final round alongside Ghana, Congo and Uganda.
Egypt kicks off its World Cup qualifying campaign against Congo on 3 October.
Seven-time African champions Egypt have made only two World Cup appearances, both in Italy, in 1934 and 1990.
