Egypt's rower Abdel-Khaleq El-Banna reaches single sculls semi-finals

Egyptian rower Abdel-Khaleq El-Banna reached the men's single sculls semi finals A/B after finishing third in the quarter-finals on Tuesday with a time of 6:50.82 minutes.
El-Banna, who reached the quarter finals after coming third through the heats with 7:35.05m, came ninth in the overall rankings with a time of 6:50.82m, improving his previous time, 7:34.05m, that he registered during the first round.
The semi-final will take place on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Nadia Negm finished sixth in her heat in the quarter-finals - 24 in the overall ranking - and will go the semi-finals C/D that will be played on Wednesday.
