Rowing: Egypt's Negm feels 'like a Viking' after reaching single sculls quarters

After reaching the quarter finals of the women's rowing single sculls on Saturday, Egyptian star Nadia Negm revealed how she had overcome a huge wave to advance.
"Halfway through the course this huge wave just went into my boat," Negm, 18, said after she qualified, according to Reuters.
"It went all the way up to my face. I mean, I'm lucky I didn't tip over.
"I've never really raced in water like this. This was a new extreme, but it's good experience. In the end I kind of feel like a Viking coming out of it," she added.
Nadia Negm reached the quarter finals of the women's rowing single sculls after finishing third in heat 3.
She timed 9:15.55 minutes in the 1500m event, to come behind Canada's Carling Zeeman (8:41.12m) and Sanita Puspure of Ireland (9:11.45m).
