Former United States coach Bob Bradley has been unveiled as Egypt's new boss on Saturday after penning a three-year deal.
The Egyptian Football Association held a news conference to announce the appointment of Bradley, who will succeed highly-successful coach Hassan Shehata.
“Bradley will earn a net monthly salary of 30,000 Euros. He will get a 10% annual increase,” the EFA chief executive Ehab Saleh said.
“The contract runs until July 2014 but it will be automatically rescinded if Egypt failed to qualify for the 2013 African Cup of Nations or the 2014 World Cup.”
Bradley's main objective will be helping the Pharaohs and a lengthy World Cup drought stretching back to 1990 when they made the last of their two appearances in Italy.
The 53-year-old boss, whose Egypt assistants are yet to be determined, led the United States to the Gold Cup title in 2007 and a place in the FIFA Confederations Cup final two years later.
The US also reached the 2010 World Cup round of 16 but were eliminated by Ghana.
