The 53rd season of the Cairo Symphony Orchestra opens on 17 September. The orchestra has announced its first four concerts which will open the orchestra's 2011/2012 season. Kodaly: Dances of Galanta K. Szymanowski: Violin Concerto No. 1, Op. 35 A. Dvorak: Symphony No. 8 in G Major, Op. 88 Soloist: Monika Urbaniak (violin) Conductor: Marc Kissoczy Saturday 1 October W.A. Mozart: Symphony No 39 in E flat Major, K. 549 L.van Beethoven: Symphony No. 3 in E-flat Major, Op. 55 "Eroica" Conductor: Ahmed El Saedi Saturday 15 October G. Mahler: Adagietto for Strings and Harp from the Symphony No. 5 R. Wagner: Siegfried Idyll A.
