The Absence to be performed in Alexandria
The modern theatre production will be performed in Bibliotheca Alexandrina on 25 and 27 August

Based on Ibada Mustaarah (Genocide Aliases) by Rana Jaafar Yasin, the play Absence raises existential questions revolving around the concept of "homeland."
The play uses documentary and live videos in an attempt to analyse the state of “homeland absence” through a long interactive monologue represented by the clown who, without using words, creates the link between the protagonist and the audience.
The performance's production is funded by the Goethe Institute in Alexandria and Gudran for Arts and Development.
The play will be performed on Thursday 25 August and Saturday 27 August at 9pm at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina in Alexandria
