The 29-year-old, who joined Ismaily on a season-long loan from Zamalek after ending a disastrous spell at Portugal's Sporting Lisbon, completed the rout with four minutes remaining when he ran onto a through ball to place a shot into the far bottom corner. Shikabala is gradually regaining the form that saw him torment opposing defences with Zamalek, with Ismaily coach Mido vowing to help him restore his glory days. His strike against Hodoud was his first in the league since he found the net in a 2-1 win over Dakhleya in January 2012. Former Tottenham Hotspur, Ajax and AS Roma striker Mido handed in his resignation following Ismaily's 2-0 defeat by Dakhleya in their previous game, citing what he called an unjustified attack by the board and fans on him. However, he had a quick change of heart and eventually decided to carry on.
