Administrative Prosecution Authority judge dies in a car accident
Alaa Abdel Gawad dies while travelling from Cairo to Minya

Judge and deputy chairman of the Administrative Prosecution Authority Alaa Abdel Gawad died earlier today from injuries he sustained during a car accident on the Eastern Desert Highway in the Bani Sawif governorate.
The late judge Alaa Abdel Gawad was heading from Cairo to Minya after undergoing a kidney transplant.
Abdel Gawad's car overturned when one of the tyres exploded on the desert highway.
Abdel Gawad's wife Mrs Amira Halmi and his private driver were injured in the course of the accident and were transferred to Minya University Hospital to receive treatment.
