The Black Stars, who lost to Ivory Coast in the 2015 Nations Cup final, needed a superb 88th-minute free kick from Mubarak Wakaso to break down Rwanda and secure their second win from two games after opening their qualifying campaign with a 7-1 hammering of Mauritius. Mauritius take on Mozambique, who lost to Rwanda in their opening match, in the other Group H clash on Sunday. Senegal also collected maximum points from their opening two matches of Group K after beating Namibia 2-0. Cheikhou Kouyate opened the scoring on 36 minutes before Southampton winger Sadio Mane wrapped up the win with a 56th-minute goal. Senegal have six points, three ahead of Burundi who defeated Niger (3 points) 2-0, thanks to goals from Fiston Abdul Razak and Papy Faty.
