Salah plays as Fiorentina salvage late Europa League draw at Dynamo Kiev Mohamed Salah plays full 90 minutes as Fiorentina salvage vital away draw at Ukraine's Dynamo Kiev in the Europa League quarter finals
Khouma Babacar's stoppage-time leveler gave Fiorentina a vital 1-1 draw at Dynamo Kiev in the Europa League quarter final first-leg, with Egypt star Mohamed Salah featuring for the whole game. In a match that was initially dominated by the Italians, it was the hosts who took a 36th-minute lead through Jeremain Lens via a deflected shot from 20-yards, before Babacar scored the vital equalizer deep into stoppage time with an outstanding acrobatic effort. Salah played the whole match for Fiorentina, and despite not having a hand in the last-gasp equalizer, he managed to keep Dynamo's defenders on their toes with his mazy runs and mesmerizing tricks. The Egyptian could have even set up Joaquin with the opening goal in the first half, following a brilliant solo effort but the former eventually failed to find the net. The on-loan Chelsea forward came close to scoring in the second half but was unlucky to see his strike go wide of the post. The draw saved Viola from a third consecutive defeat in all competitions, as a goalless home draw would now take them to the Europa League semis.
