Sulaya strikes late to maintain Ismaily winning streak An 80th minute goal from international midfielder Amr El-Sulaya gave Ismaily full points from their game against Wadi Degla on Day 13 of the Egyptian Premier League.
It's the third straight victory for Marc Wotte's men after previous wins over Ahly, 3-1, and Ittihad of Alexandria, 3-1. The hosts put a lot of pressure on Wadi Degla from the beginning of the game, but Haytham Mohamed produced some heroic stretches between the sticks to maintain his clean sheet, especially denying a rocketing header from Mohamed Mohsen Abougreisha at the half-hour mark. The game was closely contested, the visitors near to scoring when Ghanaian striker Wisdom Agblexo broke through Ismaily's defence only to be denied by international score-stopper Mohamed Sobhy. Fans had to hold their breath until the 80thminute when Mohab Saied sent a promising pass to right winger Ahmed Sedik who set up Amr El-Sulaya in the six yards area to hit home the winner. Ismaily are now fourth with 22 points —five points behind leaders Zamalek.
