Ahly without Treika for Gouna clash Ahly forward Mohamed Abou Treika is a major doubt for the game against Gouna in round 19 of the Egyptian Premier League with a muscle problem
Ahly will lose the services of their midfielder Mohamed Abou Trieka in the game against Gouna in the league next Tuesday after the playmaker suffered a muscle injury in last week's match against El-Masry. “Treika will undergo medical tests to determine the seriousness of his muscle injury and how long he will be out of action,” Ahly club doctor Walid Abdel-Baki was quoted as saying on the club's official website. The Egyptian League holder's medical staff also revealed that striker Emad Meteb will be available within three weeks after concluding his rehab program after suffering fractured ribs. “Meteb will run around the stadium on Sunday and he can join the games within three weeks,” Abdel-Baki announced. Emad Meteb fractured more than two ribs during a friendly with Wadi Degla three months ago. Ahly are third in the 16-team table with 33 points, six points behind their arch-rivals and league leaders Zamalek.
