Annual Festival to celebrate the delicacy of Egyptian dates Next Friday is to witness a festival celebration of the crop that ticks all the boxes foe food with maximum nutrition
Dates are a staple of Egyptian cuisine and an integral part of the region's delicacies, they are frequently celebrated throughout Egypt in a variety of events, one of which is the Annual Date Festival, set to be held on the 26th of September this year. The organisers of the event are agricultural NGO Nawaya, Cairo's chapter of Slow Food and Ice_ribh, all of which promote the idea of sustainable development using local resources The upcoming event will take place in Fagnoun Art School, on the outskirts of Giza, and will feature many activities and entertainment for all members of the family. Music, fun activities, tasting treats, lectures and cooking lessons for all ages will headline the festival's events.
