Cameroon expect early final against Ivory Coast Ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, defender Bitolo says the Lions must play as if it was a final, Choupo-Moting considers the Elephants one of the best teams in Africa
Cameroon players expect 'an early final' against Ivory Coast in the second round of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. “We must give our best. We must play as if it was a final,” Cameroon fullback Ambroise Oyongo Bitolo said at a press conference on Monday. The Lions, who want to maintain their Group D lead after Saturday's 2-0 away victory against DR Congo, are aware the Elephants won't be easy opponents in Yaounde. “They are a very good team, one of the best in Africa with many great players. They have been playing together for a long time,” the Lions vice-captain Eric Choupo-Moting said. “The most important thing is for each one of us to fight. It will not be easy as they have a lot of individual quality, but together, everything is possible,” the Schalke striker added. A tough game is really expected as Yaya Toure and his teammates won their Morocco edition qualifiers opener 2-1 home against Sierra Leone and seek to prove their upper hand in the group.
