Finland lifts travel ban on Egypt's Sharm El-Sheikh
Finnish decision to allow travel to popular Red Sea resort comes after six other European countries lift similar bans

Finland has lifted its warning against travel to Sharm El-Sheikh in South Sinai, Egypt's tourism ministry announced on Wednesday.
According to Egypt's tourism ministry, the Finnish decision came after six European authorities – Germany, Italy, France, Ireland, Denmark and Spain – removed their travel warnings for the popular Red Sea resort town.
Tourism Minister Hisham Zaazou has been trying to remove all such warnings imposed by European countries since February, when a bomb blast on a tour bus in South Sinai killed three South Koreans and their Egyptian driver and raised concerns about safety in Red Sea resorts.
In the first half of 2014, Egypt saw 4.4 million tourists, a 25 percent drop from the same period the previous year, official figures show.
