Egypt press reported the statements of the Minister of Awqaf Mohamed Abdel Fadil Elkoussy, who said, "Creativity cannot be bound by restrictions or censorship but by self-censorship that maintains a certain degree of morality." There are reports of Al-Nour Salafi Party and the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) preparations for the second phase of elections in two days time.
Youm7:
President of the General Authority for Mineral Resources Fekry Yusuf said the authority is currently preparing a plan to develop the mining industry in Egypt. He discussed his plans in an exclusive interview with Youm7.
Egypt's Prime Minister Kamal el-Ganzouri withdrew the 21 million meters of land from investors in the North West Gulf of Suez, which led to a crisis between real estate companies, for fear of the withdrawal of lands acquired by the government.
President of the Egyptian Businessmen Association Hussein Sabour said the government must distinguish between serious and non-serious investors and it was unfair for an investor to have his land withdrawn for this reason.
Al-Ahram:
Al-Nour Salafi Party requested it joins forces with the FJP 48 hours before the second round of parliamentary elections to confront the liberal parties, which announced their support for 51 independent candidates.
Al-Masry Al-Youm:
Former head of news in Public television Abdel Latif el-Mennawy said there were those against the opening of the new Egyptian news channel "Akhbar Masr" and that he no longer had relations to Egyptian public television.
Egyptian Minister of Awqaf Mohamed Abdel Fadil el-Koussy gave his opinion on censorship in an interview. "Creativity cannot be bound by restrictions or censorship but by self-censorship that maintains a certain degree of morality and respect for values," he said.
Al-Shorouq:
The Supreme Constitutional Court ruled the Supreme Electoral Committee (SEC) should not withdraw certain candidate lists because they contain invalid candidates but should rectify the lists within 15 days prior to the elections.
The court said in its ruling it was aware the SEC was withdrawing candidate lists because some candidates did not comply with all the conditions for candidacy, whether not completing their military service, being illiterate or having dual citizenship.
Al-Gomhorreya:
"The revolution would not be complete until there security and stability return to the streets of Egypt," el-Ganzouri said in a press conference yesterday December 11.
He said he was following up on the security situation closely and the Minister of Interior would present a report on the situation on December 15.
