Egyptian Minister of Local Development Chancellot Mohamed Attiya today said that the military council will meet with him tomorrow to discuss preparations for the second phase of parliamentary elections. “We will discuss securing polling stations and the problems from the first phase,” Attiya said. “I have issued orders to all governorates to use local cleaning companies to clean the streets,” he continued. “We also plan to discuss creating recycling units to make use of waste and provide jobs for the young people.” “Local councils are being formed in Cairo, Giza and Alexandria,” he said, adding that each council will consist of 30 members.
