The Egyptian Bloc held a conference in Gharbia's Second constituency, preparing for the second phase the parliamentary elections. About 5,000 citizens attended the conference. Ahmed Abdel Fatah, an official in the Egyptian Bloc, criticized rumors promoted by other trends targeting the bloc in his speech. He called for respecting the electoral code of conduct, adding that the different powers work to serve the interests of the country. The media coordinator of the governorate, Waheed Abdel Samad, called on the attendees to not focus on the war of declarations among different powers. He praised the Egyptian farmer as one who can assess the different programs and make the right decision. Atef Shakhba, a candidate of the Egyptian Bloc, said they support keeping the second article of Egypt's constitution, adding that the economic program drafted by the bloc has ambitious ideas that can overcome the current crises. Emad Moshraky, another candidate, said that Egypt is the country of all Egyptians, adding that the people should confront any attempt aiming to divide the country into Muslims and Christians.
