Germany is ready to help the Arab Spring countries including Egypt, said German Minister of Economics and Technology and Vice Chancellor Philipp Rosler on Thursday December 8 during his meeting with the Egyptian Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade Mahmoud Eissa. Egyptian-German investments in Egypt increased since the Egyptian January 25 Revolution from €390 million (U.S. $ 520 million) to €600 million (U.S. $800 million), Rosler added. He highlighted the current Egyptian government should support democracy and human rights, and seek to achieve local development to increase investments. Germany does not stop providing Greece their aid; it has provided more than €20 billion (U.S. $26.6 billion), he noted. Providing european financial aid does not mean stopping aid to Egypt and other countries, according to Rosler who said Germany respects Egyptians' achievements. Both Germany and France conducted measures to achive the stabilitary of the jiont currency, the Euro, to not be involved in big financial crisis like what has happened in 2008 and 2009, Rosler said.
