Egypt signs agreement to import Thai rice

CAIRO: Egyptian Minister of Social Justice and Solidarity Goda Abdel Khalek met Thai Ambassador to Egypt Chalit Manityakul on Tuesday.
Khalek praised unbreakable relations between Egypt and Thailand.
Khalek said the ministry has a desire to promote bilateral relations between both countries through an agreement to import large amounts of Thai rice in order to distribute it over ration cards, to provide citizens with rice and to break merchants' rice monopoly.
