ALEXANDRIA, Egypt: Officers and security members of the governorate of Alexandria took their positions along the different runoff polling stations to secure them in cooperation with the military forces, the deputy Minister of Interior in Alexandria General Khaled Gharaba said. Gharaba assured the ministry is keen to secure the runoff polling stations, the same way they secured the first stage of the elections, which were historically safe. The boxes will be secured inside the polling stations after the elections under the supervision of judges and party delegates, Gharaba added. He also said no police member will be allowed to enter the polling stations during the elections and restricted the instructions issued for police forces to secure the polling stations only from outside to make sure the elections are transparent.
