Egyptian stock market indices gained in morning trading Thursday due to purchases by foreign and Arab investors. Egyptian transactions leaned towards sales. The EGX 30 increased by 0.82 percent and the EGX 20 gained 0.75 percent. The medium and small companies index, the EGX 70, fell by 0.33 percent. The EGX 100 gained 0.42 percent. Companies gaining in Thursday morning trading included Palm Hills by 1.5 percent, Ezz Steel by 0.98 percent, Hermes by 0.37 percent, Qalaa by 1.3 percent, OCI by 0.10 percent, and Commercial International Bank by 3.05 percent.
