Saudi authorities arrested 48 Egyptians, who will be tried in the coming months, on charges of banned medicine possession. Foreign Minister Deputy Assistant Tareq Abu Senna said the Saudi authorities captured 48 Egyptians carrying banned medicine including Tramadol, Librax, Rifampicin. The captured Egyptians were sent to Tabook field region prison, where they will be put on trial during the first half of the Islamic year. Abu Senna said Saudi and Emirati authorities have announced launching intensive security campaigns in air, land and sea ports to apprehend passengers carrying medicines on the banned medicine lists. The Egyptian Foreign Ministry warned Egyptians, by publishing a statement in national newspapers and on the official site of the ministry, against taking drugs to Saudi Arabia or the Emirates.
