CAIRO: The Egyptian Revolution Union decided to form a revolutionary presidential council consisting of nine figures. It also plans to form a presidential Shura Council including all heads of the revolutionary coalitions. There will also be military council representatives in the council. It is the latest in a series of civil initiatives launched by Egyptian groups. In a statement, the union called for forming a council of conservatives elected from the presidential shura council and the revolutionary local councils. They will announce a revolutionary presidential council to run Egypt's affairs. The presidential council will be the mouthpiece of the people in the upcoming presidential elections, according to the group. The statement is signed by the figures nominated to chair the council. The elections to form a revolution parliament, which coincides with parliamentary elections, will be conducted in Tahrir Square, said the General coordinator of the union, Mohammad Awad. Some of the Tahrir revolutionaries will be nominated for this parliament to represent the revolution.
