CAIRO: The National Salvation Government, only created yesterday, formed an advisory council on Saturday, said well informed sources. The council will be chaired by Mohamed el-Baradei and will include two of the presidential candidates Abdel Moneim Aboul Fotouh and Hamdeen Sabbahi. Also included are several national figures like Head of the National Association for Change Abdel Galil Mustafa, Physician Mohamed Abul Ghar, prominent writer Alaa al-Aswany, activist Kamal Abu Attia, political activist Nawara Negm and Judge Zakaria Abdel Aziz. The council aims to provide the government with consultations on all its issues to solve the Egyptian society's problems when the government assumes its duties. Egyptian political powers protested in Tahrir Square on Friday against the military council's appointment of Kamal el-Ganzouri as prime minister. Protesters rejected el-Ganzouri due to his old age and affiliation to ousted president Hosni Mubarak's former regime. The consultations will be conducted among the council's figures to serve citizens and protect the martyrs' sacrifices and revolutionary demands, tweeted Aboul Fotouh. He supported the people's demand to form a national government with full authority to solve this crisis.
