Protestors in Cairo's Tahrir Square rejected the appointment of Kamal el-Ganzouri to lead Egypt's next government, instead demanding a national salvation government. Banners could be seen opposing Ganzouri, who was Prime Minister under former president Hosni Mubarak in the 1990s. Hundred of protestors in the square chanted slogans against the military council and demanded retribution for the killing of protestors.
