Inspection procedures at all Egyptian ports are to intensify after the Tahrir incidents and general political situation, announced security sources. The intensified procedures will apply to individuals transferred by ferries and shipment movements. Chairman of the Red Sea Ports' Institute Mohamed Abdel Kader told Youm7, “Movements at the ports are normal and are not affected by the political situation.” Abdel Kader said the Ein Sokhna and Safaga ports received 5 ships carrying 5,000 tourists of different nationalities from Jordanian city Aqaba on Wednesday, November 23. He specified the Ein Sokhna port received 3 ships, while the Safaga port received two. He added that the working ferries at both ports remain functional in transferring passengers between Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Jordan.
