CAIRO: Fierce clashes between Central Security Forces and protestors in Mohamed Mahmoud Street, which connects Tahrir Square with the Ministry of Interior, continued this morning and turned the street into a battlefield. Most protestors on and near the front lines are schools students. Some carry their school bags with them and make Molotov cocktail. The protestors formed human siege and chanted “peaceful, peaceful.” They negotiated with CSF leaders and persuaded them to stop shooting. Policeman ordered the soldiers to stop shooting and permit protesters to leave the street. There was a short ceasefire after this, but clashes later resumed again.
