CAIRO: A total of 17 political movements demanded different political and national powers to strike in Tahrir Square and the main squares of different governorates. They demand the dismissal of Egyptian Prime Minister Essam Sharaf's government and to form a national salvation government that would enjoy full authorities. The political movements said in a statement issued on Sunday November 19 and stressed the country needs a strong government that can complete the transitional period and transfer authority from the military rulers to a civilian power and to manage the next parliamentary elections. The movements also demanded authorities to conduct the parliamentary elections on time, while the presidential elections should be conducted in April 2012 as a deadline date. Signatories stressed Egypt's Interior Ministry should be restructured, demanding authorities to dismiss leaders of the former regime from their leading positions in the police institution. They added these are the demands of Egyptians who caused this revolution to achieve freedom, democracy, dignity and social justice.
