CAIRO: Cairo is coordinating the release of Israeli Bedouin Ouda Tarabin, who has been imprisoned in Egypt for 11 years, with the Israeli government, said Israel's KOL. The newspaper also said the second part of the Palestinian-Israeli prisoner swap deal, brokered by Egypt, will be carried out as well. Tel Aviv and Cairo have nearly agreed a new swap deal for Tarabin's release in exchange for 25 Egyptian prisoners in Israel, the newspaper added. The Tarabin swap deal will take some time to complete and will therefore happen after the Palestinian prisoners' release, a source said to the paper. A top Israeli official, who was involved in mediating talks over the Gelad Shalit swap deal, will head to Cairo to follow up on the Tarabin deal and the Palestinian prisoners' release deal.
