CAIRO: Egypt's ruling military council and Egyptian Prime Minister Essam Sharaf should make Egypt avoids the risks of a second revolution if they do not cancel Deputy Prime Minister Ali al-Selmy's basic principles of the constitution document, said Egyptian presidential candidate Mohamed Selim Al-Awa on Sunday November 13. He put up a timetable to hand over authority to an elected civilian authority by having the presidential elections before April 2012. Responding to al-Selmy's remarks on the presence of another document differing from al-Selmy's one, al-Awa said the document is in hands of those with the same text al-Selmy distributed to the participants in the national political powers meeting in the Freedom and Justice Party headquarters on November 2. "If al-Selmy has another document, he knows how to deliver to me," said al-Awa, who promised neutrality if another document exists. Al-Awa called on all means of media to put into consideration the people have only one document unless al-Selmy issued another one could to cancel or contradict his document. During the meeting of political parties and organizations, all participants rejected the document and refused to negotiate about its details because talking about it means it is a step to accepting it. The participants called on the military council to cancel al-Selmy's document.
