A meeting between Egyptian officials and Hamas will be held to discuss the second stage of the prisoner swap deal between Hamas and Israel, Hamas officials said. Saleh al-Aroory, a Hamas official, said a meeting will be held in Cairo between the Egyptian and Palestinian delegations to discuss the pending issues related to the deal. He also said they will discuss the second stage of the Palestinian prisoner swap deal's execution which will see the release of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli prisons. Al-Aroory added that the meeting will also discuss Palestinian prisoners' conditions in Israeli prisons in addition to resolving the problem of families who have been prevented from travelling to the Gaza Strip to meet their sons. In October, Israel released 477 Palestinian prisoners in return for releasing Israeli prisoner Gilaad Shalit who was imprisoned in Gaza for five years. The Israeli authorities are scheduled to release 550 prisoners in December, executing the second stage of the deal.
