GAZA: There are claims of Hamas accepting the Egypt-mandated truce between the Gaza Strip and Israel after mutual rockets was launched from both sides because of conducting the prison swap deal. Hamas denied presence of any links between the truce and the deal of releasing 550 Palestinian prisoners. There were Egyptian guarantees to fulfill the swap deal and the deal was approved before the truce, Hamas said. The deal provisions are clear they are being conducted in two phases; the first was conducted more than two weeks ago and the second will be conducted in two months, said Hamas member, Salah el-Bardawil. The truce will be in the sake of the Palestinians, he added. A UK newspaper quoted an Egyptian official about the truce guarantees delivering Israeli promises taken in provisions of the swap deal. The official also warned of accelerating from Gaza Strip against Israeli settlements, which could lead to Israeli military attacking Gaza Strip.
