Arabic: اللجنة العليا للانتخابات The Supreme Electoral Committee (SEC) was created to monitor every step of Egyptian elections to make elections efficient and fraud-free after Egypt's January 25 Revolution. The SEC is responsible for making any decisions related to the 2011/2012 parliamentary elections and also for presidential elections scheduled for 2012. The SEC has made changes in electoral law, organized programs and lists for different types of political parties and organizations, and set rules and regulations. The SEC announced that Egyptian expatriates will be permitted to vote from abroad through organized electoral committees in Egyptian embassies worldwide. The National Committee for Human Rights works closely with the SEC to assure every decision benefits the rights of any Egyptian citizen.
