Egyptian & Turkish Ministers of Culture Emad Abu Ghazy and Ertuğrul Günay will open Egypt's section in Turkey's international book fair in Istanbul on November 12. Turkey will host Egypt in their 30th book fair which will run until November 20. Ahmed Megahed, head of the Egyptian General Authority for Books said there are 22 Egyptian publishing houses participating in the book fair. Megahed also said Egypt is the first Arab country to be hosted in Turkey's book fair. “January 25 Revolution was one of the main reasons Turkey chose to invite Egypt to the book fair which has also enhanced the developing relationship between the two countries.” Mogahed said. Mogahed also said Egypt would not only participate in the Turkish book fair but also in a comprehensive cultural celebration. Ahmed Salah, head of the exhibitions committee at the General Egyptian Book Organization said the authority would participate with 1,500 books of its recent publishes. He also said the first book about January 25 Revolution, which tells the events of the revolution, will be present at the Turkish book fair.
