The Israeli Public Syndicate for Labor organized a strike early on Monday in different public facilities across the country, which led to a state of paralysis that hit state facilities beginning at 6am. Israeli newspaper Haartez said the strike is the largest in the last four years. It added that the strike is scheduled to dissolve in the afternoon as the Israeli Labor Court responded to a demand submitted by the government and businessmen to open the door for talks between the Israeli government and Labor Syndicate. It added that the court decided to restrict the strike and prevented the syndicate from organizing an open-ended strike until Thursday, to pave the way for holding negotiations to resolve the problem peacefully. Haartez said that the court summoned both the chairman of the syndicate and Israel's minister of finance in an attempt to a find a solution for the crisis. When it failed to do so, the judge decided to restrict the strike and demanded both sides resume talks.
