The demonstrators announced they will not dissolve their strike until their demands are met. The Israeli radio pointed out the cautions the speaker of the Israeli Kenesset mentioned, how the demonstrations could easily turn into a state of chaos if the Israeli government failed to contain the situation. The speaker said, "There are people who are working to seize the opportunity to overthrow Netanyahu's government." The speaker of Kenesset added the sudden increase of the Israeli budget to 5 billion Israeli Shekels (U.S. $1.4 billion) will harm the Israeli economy. Israeli opposition leader, Tzipi Livni, accused the Israeli Prime Minister of procrastination in meeting the demands of the Israeli people.
