The Israeli Public Radio:
Israeli President, Shimon Perez, thanked his Greek counterpart, Karolos Papoulias, for preventing the Freedom Flotilla II from sailing to Gaza Strip.
The Israeli radio said Perez also praised Greece's role in containing the fire, which hit the mount of Caramel last year.
Perez claimed Hamas is a terrorist organization to seize Gaza Strip, stressing it receives smuggled weapons from Iran. He made this statement during his meeting with his Greek counterpart in Jerusalem.
The Israeli president added residents of Gaza Strip will enjoy freedom if they abandon this terrorist organization. He clarified Israel extends its hand to all its neighbors. He expressed his hopes Gaza will enjoy freedom and prosperity after eradicating what he described as the terrorist Hamas.
On the other hand, the Greek president said a Greek delegation will visit Israel to develop economic and trade cooperation between both countries.
Yediot Ahronot:
The Israeli Kenesset's Economic Committee discussed increasing the prices of electricity across Israel by 20 percent, especially since Israel Electricity Company used diesel fuel to replace Egyptian gas. Flow of Egyptian gas was suspended after the recent explosion, targeted at the gas pipeline that provides both Israel and Jordan with a flow of Egyptian gas. There is a notable rise in the price of electricity now in Israel after the suspension of Egypt's gas.
Yediot Ahronot clarified the head of the committee refused the price increase. Israelis shouldn't afford increasing prices of electricity, the Israeli Finance Minister said and promised to find solutions for high taxes imposed on diesel prices.
On the other hand, the Israeli newspaper reported the declarations of Egyptian chairman of GASCO that Egyptian gas is flowing to Israel and Jordan experimentally until damages are repaired from the explosion. The newspaper expected Egyptian gas will flow to Israel at the end of the current week.
Marriv:
Israel resumes its criticism against Egypt and claims infiltrating 444 African refugees into Israel weekly.
Israel's media continued attacking Egyptian authorities after the recent statements, issued by the Interior Ministry's Immigration and Population Authority, which clarified about 444 African refugees entered Israel through Egyptian territories.
Maariv accused Egyptian authorities of their inability to control Egyptian borders with Israel, which led to an increasing number of African infiltrators. Claims are made that about 4,167 Africans violated the borders since the beginning of the year.
The Israeli newspaper clarified the Israeli authorities managed to arrest only 80 percent of the infiltrators.
Israeli Interior Ministry mentioned 85 percent of African refugees were from Sudan and Eritrea. They escaped their countries because of the difficult conditions and Israel tries to avoid returning them to their countries.
Marriv underlined Israel doesn't recognize the infiltrators as legal refugees so it doesn't grant them licenses to work. 30,000 infiltrators are now living in Israel.
Haartez:
The International Quartet Committee will hold a meeting in Washington amid Israel's fears of expected surprises.
Haartez mentioned foreign ministries of the international quartet will hold a meeting on Monday in Washington. It is expected they will issue a statement to adopt principles, included in the U.S President's speech, delivered on May 19. U.S. President Obama demanded Israel, in the mentioned speech, to return to the 1967 borders.
According to political sources, the member states of the Quartet will send a delegation to the region to find out if there is a serious desire to resume negotiations.
In the same context, Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, met with the ministries of his government on Sunday to discuss the expected statement of the committee.
Haartez reported an Israeli political source confirmed Israel government is concerned the statement could adopt the same principles mentioned in Obama's speech in May.
The meeting, after the European pressure to draft an international peace plan, will include foreign ministries of the U.S., EU, Russia and the secretary General of the UN.
