The Israeli Public Radio:
Tel-Aviv faces housing crisis because Israeli Ministry of Housing and Building announced the decision to build 6,900 new settlement units in Palestinian territories.
Israeli media clarified the housing units will be distributed in different areas inside the green line due to recent criticism by the U.S Administration and western countries opposing Israeli settlements.
The Israeli newspaper said the new buildings are an attempt from the Israeli government to ease the housing crisis, which fueled a number of protests in different cities across Israel.
Yediot Ahronot:
A new book revealed the prominent Hollywood moviemaker, Arnon Miolczn, was a spy for Israeli Mossad, a secret unit in Israeli Ministry of Defense. The Israeli Intelligence Authority provided him with technological and confidential information.
The book ‘The Life of the Secret Spy in Hollywood' revealed Miolczn was recruited by the current Israeli President, Shimon Perez. The American moviemaker provided Israel with information and equipments for the Israeli nuclear project and Israeli nuclear arsenal.
When the book was sold in Israeli markets, Miolczn commented, "I worked to serve my country but I didn't receive any money for such activities stated in the book."
The book highlighted that Miolczn served the scientific relations circle of the Israeli Ministry of Defense, pointing out the circle was dissolved after the scandal of Israeli spy, Jonathan Pollard.
The Israeli newspaper mentioned Miolczn, 66 years old, is considered one of the most important film producers in Hollywood; he produced many movies, including "Beautiful Lady," and "The Devil's lawyer."
In other news, the U.S chief of staff visits Israel for the last time. Yediot Ahronot mentioned Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, will meet Michel Mullen who arrived in Israel on Monday in his last visit as U.S. Chief of Staff.
The Israeli newspaper said Mullen will meet with Israeli Chief of Staff, Beni Janets, who is hosting a dinner party, to be attended by prominent officers of the Israeli Army.
The newspaper reported both Israel and the U.S. will discuss how to increase cooperation in intelligence files and support common training, in addition to a request to provide Israel with more military equipments.
They also will discuss the Iranian nuclear file, recent developments in the region and their repercussion on military cooperation between Israel and the U.S.
Maariv:
Israel's Minister of Interior threatens with resignation because of the housing crisis in Israel. Marriv reported tens of Israeli youth resumed strikes and joined together in tents. Protests spread across Israel, stressing they will not end their protesting until all their demands are achieved.
The Israeli newspaper mentioned the governmental coalition suffers differences, especially since the Israeli Minister of Interior, Eli Yeshai, threatened to resign if the government didn't respond to proposals. He offered to solve the crisis.
"The government should find immediate solutions for the soaring prices of the apartments since it is a serious problem. If the government ignored proposals in this regard, I will resign from my post," Yeshai explained to Marriv. He said he will call the government to abandon its profits and refuses to link the housing problem to the increasing settlements.
Maariv pointed out Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, is studying special passing legislations to resolve the current housing crisis.
The Israeli Minister of Housing criticized the demonstrators' claims of the housing crisis is only in Tel-Aviv. The minister clarified there are a lot of cheap apartments in other places. He said the issue is normal, "Tel-Aviv is not the entire world."
Haartez:
Israeli Marines blockaded the French Flotilla ship and threatens to seize it. Israeli military sources said the Israeli Navy managed to blockade a French Flotilla ship in front of the Gaza Strip's coast to prevent it from reaching its destination.
