A total of 262 Palestinian pilgrims flew from Cairo Airport on Saturday November 5 to Saudi Arabia after arriving to Cairo from Gaza Strip through the Rafah border crossing by buses. An official in the Rafah border crossing department said the crossing was opened specifically on Saturday November 5 to let the recently released Palestinian prisoners cross. The Palestinian ex-prisoners who were released during the Shalit swap are going to make the pilgrimage under the auspices of King of Saudi Arabia Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz. It should be noted the plane flew on Saturday November at 9:00 A.M, and the Palestinian prisoners in Jerusalem and West bank could not make it since Israeli authorities prevented them.
