Egyptian Prime Minister Essam Sharaf visited Egypt's ruling military council headquarters, accompanied by ministers and Deputy Prime Minister for political development and democratic change, Ali el-Selmy, for a meeting between the government and the military council. The meeting will discuss the reaction of political forces after el-Selmy's conference to discuss the super constitutional principles. These principles raised arguments because of the state's refusal to some articles in the document, especially article no. 9, which provides the army absolute power, according to sources. It was mentioned the army will have authority to approve any legislation concerned with the armed forces before releasing it. Sources added decisions are expected for release from the meeting, especially decisions concerning the right Egyptians abroad to vote in the elections with their passports. The sources ensured the meeting will discuss preparations for the upcoming parliamentary elections and the government's and armed forces' plan to secure it.
