Diesel smuggling attempt foiled

Alexandria's Investigation of Public Fund foiled an attempt to smuggle 1,220 barrels of subsidized diesel to Turkey through the Port of Alexandria. The shipment had been seized. The Public Prosecution has been informed to conduct investigations.
Alexandria's Security Director, Khaled Ghoraba, received a complaint that a company would smuggle a large amount of subsidized diesel abroad aiming at achieving illicit gains.
The investigation revealed that the owner of the company attempted to hide the diesel barrels inside alcohol containers claiming that he would export alcohol to Turkey.
