Thousands of policemen and civil workers at Egypt's Ministry of Interior continued their open protest outside the ministry and at all security directorates in different governorates on Tuesday October 25. Protestors created platforms outside the headquarters of the ministry and called out for cleansing the ministry. Hundreds of policemen kept flowing in from many regions to join the protestors outside the ministry. Media coordinator of the general coalition of policemen Hassan Shendy said the coalition will continue its open protest outside the headquarters of the ministry and all security directorates. He said the sit-in isn't to calling for sectarian demands but for dismissing associates of the former Minister of Interior Habib al-Adly. He called upon chairman of Egypt's ruling military council Hussein Tantawi to solve the crisis and clean the ministry from corrupt leaders. Head of civil workers coalition Fekry Abdel Ghany assured members of the coalition are going on a hunger strike in case of no response to their demands. Abdel Ghany refused the idea of participation of political forces in the sit-in for the policemen outside the Ministry of Interior headquarters.
